vṛkṣasthāṃ dadṛśe bālām uvāca nṛpasattama /
tvāṃ rājā pṛcchate bāle kāsi tvaṃ kva gamiṣyasi //
He saw the maiden standing in a tree, O best of kings, and said:
“The king asks you, O girl: ‘Who are you, and where will you go?’”
