bahūnāṃ na pradeyāni gogṛhaṃ śayanaṃ kila /
vibhaktadakṣiṇā hy eṣā dātāraṃ nopatiṣṭhati //
A cow, a house, and a bed must certainly not be given to many; / for when its sacrificial fee is divided, it does not attend upon the donor.
