mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
sādhu sādhu mahābhāga pṛṣṭaṃ te dharmanandana /
snānārthaṃ narmadāyāṃ tu āgatas te pitā purā //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Excellent, excellent, O fortunate son of Dharma, you have asked well! / In ancient times your father came to the Narmadā to bathe.
