etad vyāsakṛta stotraṃ yaḥ paṭhec chivasannidhau /
gṛhe vā śuddhabhāvena kāmakrodhavivarjitaḥ /
vyāsas tasya bhavet prītaḥ prīto 'yaṃ vṛṣavāhanaḥ //
Whoever recites this hymn composed by Vyāsa in the presence of Śiva
or at home with a pure disposition, free from desire and anger,
Vyāsa will be pleased with him, and pleased will be the rider of the bull.
