kṛṣṇadvaipāyanas tatra mokṣārthaṃ munipuṅgavaḥ /
mantrayitvā dvijaiḥ sarvair vedamaṇḍalapāragaiḥ //

Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana, the eminent sage, [went] there for the sake of liberation, / having conferred with all the twice-born who had crossed to the end of the circle of the Vedas.
