vyāsa uvāca:
īśvarārādhane yatnaṃ kuruṣva tvaṃ sadāmbike /
tataḥ sā putravākyena viṣaṇṇā pāṇḍunandana //

Vyāsa said: / "Always make an effort in the worship of Īśvara, O mother!" / Then she became downcast at the words of her son, O son of Pāṇḍu.
