mārgeṇa tasya taj jātaṃ jāhnavyāḥ srota uttamam /
nirdhūtakalmaṣaḥ sarpaḥ sa jāto narmadājale //
Along his path, that excellent stream of the Jāhnavī was produced. / The serpent became cleansed of taint in the water of the Narmadā.
