aṣṭamyāṃ ca caturdaśyāṃ madhunā snāpayec chivam /
vimuktaḥ sarvapāpebhyo jāyate hy analo yathā //
And on the eighth and fourteenth days, one should bathe Śiva with honey; / freed from all sins, he indeed becomes like fire.
