śrāddhaṃ tatraiva ye bhaktyā upavāsaparāyaṇāḥ /
kurvanti tārayanti svān narakān nṛpanandana //
Devoted to fasting, those who perform an ancestral offering right there with devotion / deliver their own [ancestors] from hell, O son of the king.

evam ākhyātavān asmi tava snehād viśeṣataḥ /
Thus I have told [it] to you, especially out of affection for you.
