viṣṇur uvāca:
hemantatvāc ca vihitaṃ viṣṇurūpaṃ carācaram //
Viṣṇu said:
Because of being the cold season, the form of Viṣṇu is fashioned as the moving and unmoving;

pālanīyaṃ jagat sarvaṃ viṣṇor māhātmyam uttamam /
the entire world must be protected: this is the supreme greatness of Viṣṇu.
