mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
etasyānantaraṃ pārtha sauvarṇaṃ tīrtham uttamam /
vikhyātaṃ triṣu lokeṣu sarvapāpakṣayaṃkaram //

Mārkaṇḍeya said:
After this, O Pārtha, is the excellent Sauvarṇa sacred bathing site, / renowned in the three worlds, causing the destruction of all sins.
