sa tāṃ bālas tato hṛṣṭaḥ papau tasya pradeśinīm /
māndhāteti ca nāmāsya śakraścakre yathārthavat //

The child, then delighted, sucked his forefinger; / and Śakra appropriately gave him the name Māndhātṛ [“He shall suckle me”].
