kāverīnarmadāyoge bāṇā aṣṭaguṇāḥ smṛtāḥ /
gaṅgāṣaṣṭisahasrais tu kṣetrapālaiḥ prapūjyate //

while at the confluence of the Kāverī and Narmadā, the Bāṇas are remembered to be eightfold [more]. / The Gaṅgā is worshipped by sixty thousand protectors of the field;
