na śṛṇoti paraṃ śreyaḥ sati cakṣuṣi nekṣate /
same pathi śanair gacchan plavate sma pade pade //

It does not listen to the highest good; though having eyes, it does not see; / walking slowly on a level path, it slips at every step.
