mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
pratigrahagrahagrastā lobhamohavimohitāḥ /
majjanti narake ghore yatra gatvā na nirgatāḥ //
Mārkaṇḍeya said:
Seized by the planet of accepting gifts, deluded by greed and infatuation,
they sink into the terrible hell from which, having gone, they never emerge.
