patitaṃ te mahādeva etat puṇyaṃ bhaviṣyati /
tatpuṇyaṃ nāgnihotreṇa agniṣṭomair na labhyate //
it fell down, O Mahādeva, and this will become [a source of] merit.
That merit is not obtained by the agnihotra nor by the agniṣṭoma rites,
