tenaiva kāraṇenāsau narmadeśvaramuttamam /
yad yad ācarati śreṣṭhas tattad evetaro janaḥ //

for that very reason this [is called] the supreme Narmadeśvara.
Whatever the superior person practices, that indeed other people follow;
