yudhiṣṭhira uvāca:
kasyānvaye samutpannaḥ kasya putro mahāmatiḥ /
tapas taptvā suvipulaṃ toṣito yena śaṅkaraḥ //
Yudhiṣṭhira said: / In whose lineage was the great-minded one born, whose son was he, / by whom, having performed vast austerity, Śaṅkara was pleased?
