87.17

uttānapāda uvāca:
kanyādānaṃ kathaṃ deva kartavyaṃ kathayasva tat /
pratigrahaṃ tathā toṣyaṃ kanyodvāham upaskaram //

Uttānapāda said:
How should the gift of a maiden be performed, O God? Tell me that;
as well as the acceptance, the gratification, the bride's marriage, and the requisites.
