kṣiptamātre śare tasmin sarve naṣṭā mṛgās tataḥ /
teṣāṃ madhye sa caiveka ṛṣyaśṛṅgo mahātapāḥ //
No sooner had that arrow been loosed than all the deer fled from there; / but among them was that one alone, Ṛṣyaśṛṅga of great austerity.
