nacāpi cāntyajātīyaḥ kṣatriyo 'haṃ dvijottama /
kāśirājo mṛgān hantum āgato vanam uttamam //
nor am I of outcast birth; I am a Kṣatriya, O best of the twice-born, / the king of Kāśi, who came to this excellent forest to hunt deer.
