gīrvāṇās tasya tuṣyanti manuṣyāḥ pitṛbhiḥ saha /
paṭhatāṃ śṛṇvatāṃ caiva naśyed vai pāpasaṃcayaḥ //
the gods are pleased with him, as are mortals together with the ancestors. / For those who recite and those who listen, the accumulation of sin is indeed destroyed.
