śabara uvāca:
atra madhye mayā tyaktāḥ prāṇā dṛṣṭvā hitaṃ ca yat /
satyanna lopaye devi iti me niścitā matiḥ //
The Śabara said: / Right here my life-breaths are abandoned by me, seeing what is beneficial; / I will not violate the truth, O lady; this is my firm resolve.
