namāmaḥ sarve varade sukhaprade 'smān paśupāśabaddhān /
pāpairanekaiḥ paśupāśabaddhā bhramanti tāvannarakeṣu nityam //

We all bow to you, the giver of boons, giver of happiness, [we who are] bound by the bonds of individual souls! / Bound by the bonds of individual souls because of manifold sins, they wander perpetually in the hells,
