asahantī tu taṃ bhāraṃ yāti devī rasātalam /
pratīkāraṃ pṛthivyāś ca kuruṣva jagatīpate //
Unable to endure that burden, the goddess is sinking into the netherworld. / Devise a remedy for the earth, O master of the universe!
