aṣṭamyāṃ ca caturdaśyāṃ paurṇamāsyāṃ narādhipa /
vidhiṃ snātvārcayed devāṃ sugandhena vilepayet //
On the eighth, the fourteenth, and the full moon day, O ruler of men, / having bathed according to rule, one should worship the deity and anoint him with sweet fragrance.
