sarpā ūcuḥ:
yathā tvaṃ jananī caiva sarveṣāṃ bhuvi pannagī /
tathā sāpi viśeṣaṇa vañcitavyā na mātṛvat //

The serpents said: / 'Just as you are the mother of all serpents on earth, / so is she as well; in particular, she must not be deceived, like a mother.'
