bhādrapadyāṃ ca yaḥ ṣaṣṭhyāṃ bhādre snāyāc ca darśake /
tasya puṇyaphalāvāptir ākhyānakathanena tu //
And whoever bathes on the sixth [tithi] of Bhādrapada, or on the new-moon day in Bhādrapada, / attains the fruit of religious merit merely through the recitation of this narrative.
