11. Now, once in the Tretāyuga, when an affliction was caused by a rākṣasa named Lolajihva who came to Dharmāraṇya, the gotra-goddesses beginning with Śrīmātā fought with that rākṣasa; during that battle, Viṣṇu arrived and, having dispatched his disc, slew the rākṣasa Lolajihva; then the brahmins and others dwelling in Dharmāraṇya, who had fled out of fear of the rākṣasa, were summoned by the gods at Viṣṇu's command and re-established in Dharmāraṇya; and an account is given of the renowned name Satyamandira given to the city founded for the benefit of the brahmins by the Lord, who had arrived from Satyaloka and slain the rākṣasa.
