Now, the description of the installation in various special places of the family deities, Śrīmātā and others, by Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Rudra in Dharmāraṇya to destroy the fear of rākṣasas and others for the people dwelling in Dharmāraṇya; the description of the special worship and so forth, preceded by the description of the essential natures, names, and so forth of those goddesses who take the form of the local Mothers; therein, in the eastern direction, the description of the māhātmya of the goddesses beginning with Śrīmātā and ending with Ānandā. 131 2
