Pleased with this deed of yours, O mighty-armed one,
I grant seven boons; name them as you desire.
Rāma said:
O Lord, if you are pleased, grant me yourself, O Master,
the arising of all knowledge as set forth by all the Vedas.
May I be unslayable in battle; grant me the science of archery,
an axe that slays all, an unimpeded chariot,
a vast array of weapons, and imperishable immortality.
Grant these boons to me, O God; homage to you!
