This supreme, foremost māhātmya of the vipras, who shine like gods,
which abundantly brings merit and longevity, has been told to you, O daughter of the king of mountains.
A learned and pure person who hears this daily or recites it according to rule
shall attain merit, happiness, longevity, the desired fruit, splendor, and strength.
