Dhruva was joined in battle with Hrada, and other mighty warriors with others. / Then Hiraṇyākṣa, drawing tight his bow,
that mighty one pierced the elephant with one arrow in the frontal globe; / he struck the king of the gods with five arrows in the collarbone,
pierced the elephant with six in the forehead, and again with seven. / Struck by those arrows and shedding blood, that elephant shone
like the white king of mountains pouring forth streams of red-chalk water.
