purāṇaṃ saṃpravakṣyāmi sauraṃ śivakathāśrayam
yacchrutvā manujaḥ śīghraṃ pāpakañcukamutsṛjet

I shall fully proclaim the Saurapurāṇa, which rests upon the tales of Śiva, / hearing which a mortal quickly casts off the slough of sin.
