āpaścaturguṇāstena gandhamātraṃ samāviśan
tasmātpañcaguṇā bhūmirbalā bhūteṣu kathyate
waters thereby have four qualities; they entered the subtle element of smell. / Therefore the earth has five qualities and is spoken of as firm among the elements.
