saṃtāpayati yo nityaṃ svābhābhirbhāsayandiśaḥ
brahmatejomayaṃ viśvaṃ tasmai sūryātmane namaḥ
He who continually heats [the world], illuminating the directions with his own splendors,
the universe consisting of the fiery energy of Brahman—homage to him who is the Sun!
