yābhirvyāptamidaṃ viśvaṃ viśvasyāsya jaganmayaḥ
tena viśveśvaro deva iti nāmnā śivaḥ smṛtaḥ
By which this universe is pervaded, he who embodies this entire world—
therefore the god Śiva is known by the name Viśveśvara.
