tena te nirjitā devāḥ śakrādyāḥ saha mātṛbhiḥ
yuddhaṃ tadadbhutaṃ dṛṣṭvā śārṅgī śaṃkaramabravīt

By him those gods, Śakra and the others, together with the Mothers, were defeated. / Seeing that wondrous battle, the Wielder of the Śārṅga Bow spoke to Śaṃkara:
