saṃstūya sarvabhāvena śaraṇāgatavatsalām
putratve jagṛhe daityaṃ prītena manasā śivā
who stood beside Śambhu and is affectionate to those who take refuge in her, / Śivā with a pleased mind accepted the Daitya as her son.
