gaṅgāṃ babhāra śirasā rakṣārthaṃ jagatāṃ haraḥ
Śaṃbhu, pleased by his ascetic penance, gave him an unsurpassed boon. / Hara bore the Gaṅgā upon his head for the protection of the worlds.
