muhūrtā vandhurāḥ śastā rathasya dvijasattamāḥ
ghoṇā kāṣṭhāśca vijñeyā akṣadaṇḍaḥ kṣaṇā dvijāḥ
The muhūrtas are commended as the railings of the chariot, O best among the twice-born; / the kāṣṭhās are to be known as the carriage-snout, and the kṣaṇas as the axle-beam, O twice-born.
