bhagavāṃścocyate tena devadevo maheśvaraḥ
sarvā m̐llokāmkrameṇaiva vo gṛhṇāti maheśvaraḥ
visṛjatyeṣa deveśo vāsayatyapi līlayā
Therefore Maheśvara is spoken of as the Lord, the God of gods. / Maheśvara seizes all the worlds in succession; / this Lord of gods emits [them] and also causes [them] to abide in mere sport.
