brahmahatyāvrataṃ cāpi carettatpāpaśāntaye
abhigamya tu rājānaṃ suvarṇasteyavāndvijāḥ
Whether in the bright or in the dark fortnight there should be two elevenths,
the ascetic should observe the later one, but the householder should always observe the earlier.
