adīkṣitasya hanane ṣaḍabdaṃ kṛcchramācaret
vaiśyaṃ tu kāmaso hatvā tryabdakṛcchraṃ samācaret
these are declared to be the beginnings of the yugas, and all bestow inexhaustible merit. / They occur, indeed, at the solar transitions into Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
