vārāṇasyāstu māhātmyamiti kiṃcinmayoditam
yaḥ paṭhecchadhnṇuyādha'pi yāti māheśvaraṃ padam
Thus has a little of the greatness of Vārāṇasī been spoken by me; / whoever reads or hears it goes to the abode of Maheśvara.
