mṛtaḥ siṃho'pi tatraiva bhūpatiśca tathā mṛtaḥ |
sainikairmantrimukhyāśca tatrāgatya niveditāḥ ||

Thus both the king and lion lay dead on the spot; and the soldiers turned back to the palace and gave all the informations to the royal ministers.
