brāhmaṇāḥ kṣatriyā vaiśyāḥ śūdrāścānye tathā dvijāḥ |
svāṃ svāṃ vṛttiṃ samāsthāya tadrājye dharmato'bhavan ||

The Brâhmanas, Ksattriyas, Vais'yas, and S’ûdras and other good persons all lived religiously under his rule, each abiding by his own profession.
