3.15.14

bhaumaṃ rajo'tivitataṃ divi saṃsthitañca rātriṃ cakāra taraṇiñca samāvṛṇodyat |
magnaṃ tadeva rudhirāmbunidhāvakasmāt prādurbabhūva ravirapyatikāntiyuktaḥ ||

The dust, arising from the dreadful encounter of the soldiers in battle field, rose up in the air and covered the sun. It appeared night. After a while that dust became absorbed in the blood below, and the sun appeared very red, reflected with the colour of the blood.
