pārthā mṛgānugāstāvatprayātāśca vanādvanam |
dhanurbāṇadharā vīrāḥ pañca vai śatrutāpanāḥ ||

While the five great heroes Arjuna and others, the destroyers of their enemies, were roaming in the forests, Jayadratha, the king of Sindhu came with his army to the hermitage, hearing the reciting of the Vedic hymns.
