hanta pāpo'tidīnātmā nindan kṣātrabalaṃ mahat |
brāhmaṃ balaṃ durārādhyaṃ matvā tapasi saṃsthitaḥ ||

Oh! That wicked king then cursed with great humility the Ksattriya S’akti; and thinking the Brâhmanic power would be attained with great exertion, began to practise asceticism and penance.
